Job Description & Responsibilities
The Emergency Management Data Analyst will contribute to the development of data analytics tools to help build and share expertise across Emergency Management Preparedness projects.
Responsibilities for the Emergency Management Data Analyst Include:
- Support project initiatives for federal, state, local, tribal, and/or private sector clients related to emergency management and homeland security, including assessments, plans, training, exercises, and evaluations.
- Support resource planning, and monitoring compliance with project controls and requirements, ensuring that work products are developed for Hagerty clients in accordance with the firm’s professional standards.
- Analyze data using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and ArcGIS, and assist in the development of dashboards and data visualization.
- Support continuity projects using a data-centric approach.
Requirements
Qualifications for the Emergency Management Data Analyst Include:
- Between one (1) and three (3) years of data analysis, emergency management, public safety, economic development, resilience, public health, or a related field Proficiency with ArcGIS product suite.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Proficiency with Excel & ArcGIS.
- A functioning understanding of emergency management processes and policies at the local, state, and federal levels, including knowledge of the FEMA programs and frameworks, such as the National Incident Management System (NIMS), the Incident Command System (ICS), the National Response Framework (NRF), National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF), and other federal preparedness guidance documents and policies.
What we offer
Compensation for the Emergency Management Data Analyst Includes:
- Salary range of $50,000 - $80,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
