POSITION LOCATION

Using the latest analytic tools and processes, we’re able to analyze our data to provide strategic insight leading to transformational change. To help carry us even further, we are seeking an Associate Controllership Analyst to join our expanding, problem-solving team, supporting our Long Term Care Operations functions. You will analyze quantitative and qualitative information to identify and propose solutions and controls while getting to present findings/insights to the leadership team. You’ll apply your understanding of the regulatory environment and the importance of strong processes and controls as it relates to the Customer Service organization.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Oversee and monitor the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools and governance processes
  • Work with Customer Service Associates to coordinate remediation efforts. This includes monitoring claims and performing system updates.
  • Monitor the data exchange with our external and internal data consortiums and the effectiveness of risk mitigation tools including internal controls
  • Source, aggregate, analyze and summarize operational risk data
  • Prepare analysis of operational risk exposure events, maintain documentation, and proactively work to resolve
  • Perform back-testing for significant operational losses and support remediation
  • Maintain up to date Standard Operating Procedures on control processes and appropriate documentation needed for internal and external audits
  • Work with internal and/or external auditors, along with key business partners to help manage the audit related process. Includes coordinating meetings, developing timelines, providing sample data, or walkthroughs.
  • Perform data analysis for targeted risk reviews, regulatory reviews and ad hoc requests

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in an analytical field of study such as Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science or Economics or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of Finance, Risk, Audit or Operations Experience
  • Integrated problem solving ability and a process management background
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Aptitude for coding in SQL or Python with a desire to be proficient within 12 months
  • A highly strategic, analytical, and curious mindset that can iteratively define relevant metrics and translate analytical insights to drive strategy, action and recommendations
  • The proven ability to analyze problems from a quantitative and qualitative standpoint and think critically to formulate conclusions and recommendations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and the ability to reach consensus in a win-win style
  • Ability to multitask with capacity to organize and prioritize workload within a complex environment with competing and subtle resource demands

  • Business Objects/Spotfire/Power BI experience
  • Customer Service Operations experience

Additional

The base salary pay range for this role starts at a minimum rate of $52,900 up to the maximum of $96,700. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible to participate in an incentive plan. The incentive plan is based on performance and the target earning opportunity is 7% of your base compensation. The final determination on base pay for this position will be based on multiple factors at the time of this job posting including but not limited to geographic location, experience, and qualifications to ensure pay equity within the organization.
