CMI’s 55,000 sq. ft facility houses all necessary personnel and equipment. In-house capabilities include RF CAD design, mechanical/thermal design, manufacturing engineering, CNC mills, CNC
lathes, wire EDMs, CNC CMM, electroforming, plating, painting, and environmental testing.
CMI's quality system is certified to conform with the ISO9001:2000/AS9100 standards. CMI is an approved vendor for most aerospace companies including Lockheed Martin, Space Systems Loral, Orbital Sciences Corp., Boeing Satellite Systems, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Harris, NASA/JPL/GSFC, and Ball Aerospace.
Job Description & Responsibilities
At Custom Microwave Inc., A Vitesse Systems Company, we design, engineer, and manufacture world class antenna solutions for satellite applications. Helping our customers put stuff in space is our specialty, and we have a blast doing it. Which is where you come in: We have an opening for an out-of-this-world Data Analyst.
As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in building models and reports to support growth across various departments within the organization. In this role, you will be focused on extracting actionable insights from complex datasets. Are you ready to launch into an impactful and interesting role? We’re excited to work with you.
What You’ll Do (Essential Job Functions):
- Generate Power BI reports from existing data models with a focus on UI design.
- Create and maintain new models by querying and merging various sources.
- Ensure data validity and cleanliness by critically evaluating report results.
- Aid in scalability efforts such as lightweighting queries, writing documentation, improving UI of current reports, etc.
- Interface with various segments of the organization to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
- Create custom data processing solutions for recurring analysis using Python.
- Ad-hoc analysis in Excel as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring (Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Strong Power BI and Power Query background
- Python proficiency, Pandas a plus. Can supplement or replace with a strong MATLAB background. GUI experience a plus.
- Experience querying complex databases – ERP systems preferred, but any complex database is acceptable.
- Excel proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Your Experience (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Must provide proof of US Citizenship or Permanent Residency to comply with ITAR requirements.
- Ability to pass a drug screen per Custom Microwave, Inc.’s drug testing policy.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check per Custom Microwave, Inc.’s policy.

This is a full-time, permanent position. This position is eligible for the employer-sponsored benefits listed under "CMi is Proud to Offer." This position is considered exempt (paid on a salaried basis and ineligible for overtime pay).
Pay range: $76,000 - $92,000 based on qualifications and experience.
