Join our technical team in Crystal City, VA to support the modeling and simulation of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems for a Navy Program Office.
As a Computational Modeling And Data Analyst You Will
- Use a host of simulation tools, coding languages, and statistical methods to analyze system-trade comparisons.
- Develop system performance metrics that provide insights to Government customers and decision-makers.
- Work travel to quarterly working group meetings (within CONUS) is possible as well as additional training opportunities.

A week in a life of an Computational Modeling and Data Analyst :
- Develop models of tactical situations
- Prepare analytical product reports
- Brief technical material to Government leadership
- Analyze environmental data and impacts on real world platforms and sensors
- Apply advanced statistical methods to improve effectiveness of system capability
- Apply your knowledge to support system trade studies, warfare assessments, and create analytic products to support DoD leadership decision making.
- Guide Concept of Operations development through analysis
- Interface with Subject Matter Experts to establish model assumptions
- Generate presentations communicating analysis methodology and results for audiences ranging from MORS conferences to Flag Officers
- Apply machine learning and pattern recognition optimization techniques
Requirements
Job Requirements
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computational Modeling and Data Analytics
- Background in Statistics, engineering and/or operations research
- Relevant course work in math modeling, data structures, statistical analysis, and programming languages.
What we offer
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $60,000- $70,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
