Job Description & Responsibilities
We're looking for a curious Data Analyst to join our team at Allara. You'll play a critical role in providing insights to cross functional stakeholders through dashboards and ad-hoc analyses as well as training them on how to use our BI tooling to answer questions on their own. You'll pull insights from complex data with an eye towards driving meaningful business strategy and impact. You'll contribute to Allara's data culture by sharing your learnings and finding new ways to use data to drive decisions. The ideal candidate is passionate about solving real health challenges through data and technology.
What you'll do:
- Partner closely with stakeholders (Clinical Operations, Business Operations, Product, Finance, etc.) to identify and unlock opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Derive insights to help drive informed product and business decisions
- Own the end-to-end development of dashboards and analyses from understanding reporting needs, defining requirements, iterative development with stakeholders, final launch to collaboration on gathering insights with stakeholders.
- Balance a high standard of analytical work with quick and iterative delivery
Requirements
Who you are:
- 2+ years of full time analyst experience in a consumer company
- 2+ years of experience writing complex SQL in order to analyze datasets
- 1+ year experience working collaboratively with product & engineering teams
- Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write production-quality code without oversight.
This includes an understanding of both:
How to write clean and maintainable code that can be extended and maintained by others.
How data warehouses function and how to write code that efficiently uses the warehouse's compute resources.
Strong reporting and data visualization skills, and experience in guiding data interpretation with varied audiences
Experience with ETL frameworks and define logging needs in partnership with Data Engineering
Familiarity with data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, Bigquery
Familiarity with reporting / BI tools such as Metabase, Tableau, Amplitude
Bonus Points:
- Experience with DBT
- Experience with Healthcare data
- Experience working in a compliance driven domain (HIPAA, PCI or others)
- Experience managing inbound requests from multiple sources, prioritizing requests and managing stakeholders.
