Job Description & Responsibilities
HGA has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our Public |Corporate group. Bring your passion, curiosity, work ethic, creativity and differentiating experience into unique project work in planning, sustainability and architectural design innovation! In this role, you will join a team responsible for implementing data capture strategies from diverse sources, building and curating a database of our workplace project data, analysis and visualization. In addition, in this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of research publications and original thought-leadership.
Ideal candidates will possess a level of education, experience and training in data systems, management, and associated strategy. Candidates will need to demonstrate analytical problem solving, superior oral and written communication skills, as well as a fluency in data visualization techniques.
This role will join our Public | Corporate group, and closely collaborate with our Design Insight Group (DIG).
In This Role You Will
- Accept specific assignments and develop concepts according to parameters defined by project leadership.
- Collaborate with project leadership in evaluation of project requirements in order to align scope, schedule and anticipated effort
- Manage related components/tasks of project so that all can be effectively executed, according to schedule and within budget.
- Interact and communicate effectively and professionally with other team members.
- Assure execution of and assist with quality control activities for data related elements on a project.
- Evaluate data sets, research documents and associated information for integration into project objectives.
- Keep project leadership informed of progress; identify potential problems and solutions approach to communicate impact to team.
- Maintain, organize and archive all project related documents.
- Possess a demonstrated ability both in written and visual form to effectively structure data to derive insight, and communicate implications and impact to project leaders.
- Utilize experience and technical knowledge to monitor the quality of data, associated processes and key deliverables.
- Inform data capture and management strategy to achieve desired project outcomes.
- Work independently and collaboratively to manage multiple tasks in a time sensitive environment.
Requirements
You Will Need To Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics/Statistics, Management Information Systems or a related specialized degree.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to structure data sets, create detailed workflows and management processes, quantitative strengths in creation of analytical models
- Experience in coordination, management and visualization of data using, Tableau, PowerBI and/or other industry accepted software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge and fluency of relevant programming languages, ex. Python, JavaScript,R, SQL etc.
What we offer
The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: ($63,800 - $91,100)
