Data Analyst job description

What you will be doing

Remote Position (must be available to work on a Sunday, an average of 2 to 3 hours, twice per month)

Summary:

This position is accountable for preparing and managing bills and invoices for clients as well as creating reports used by Customer Service and Vendor Management to facilitate the client payment process.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cost allocation/PO match reporting
  • Run, scrub and manipulate the data to ensure customer’s billing meets expectations and is accurate
  • Prepares accurate and timely weekly and monthly invoices, statements, and billing reports for customers
  • Sends bills / invoices with detail to customers
  • Works with client and internal resources as necessary to develop standards and rules regarding customer’s reporting needs
  • Represents the department at internal and external meetings regarding invoicing and reporting
  • Fields customer questions regarding bills
  • Collaborates with Client Services Department on invoice issues
  • Participates in continuous professional, self-development courses as assigned
  • Provides updates to the Controller regarding the weekly progress of billing
Data Analyst job requirements

What your background should look like

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 1 – 3 years of general data management experience required
  • Foundational knowledge related to Excel and CSV files
  • Technical knowledge with software/products like SQL Server, SSMS
  • Excel, SQL Server, SSMS, Power Shell Scripting, Alteryx (nice to have skillset)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Minimum 1 year of accounting knowledge required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Time Management
  • Personal Effectiveness / Credibility

  • This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
