Job Description & Responsibilities
Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States.
The Data Analyst at EXLService.com, LLC in New York, NY will be responsible for:
- Data Modeling, Data Integration, Reporting and Analytics, Reference Data, ETL and BI Tools, Data Quality concepts, Data Governance and Security.
- Produce scalable and flexible, high-quality code that satisfies both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop, deploy, test and maintain technical assets in a highly secure and integrated enterprise computing environment and support functional testing.
- Analyze and translate business requirements to technical design with security and data protection settings.
- Manage expectation regarding roadblocks, proactively, in the critical path to help ensure successful delivery of the solution.
- Comprehend the fundamental solution being developed/deployed – its business value, blueprint, how it fits with the overall architecture, risks, and more.
- Ability to program in Python to read and process raw data files, data mapping and data cleansing.
- Collaborate on database and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) designs and solutions. - - Analyze design, code, test, and deploy simple to intermediate level Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 solutions using T-SQL and SSIS.
- Provide development and analytical support for SQL Server databases, SSIS packages, and SQL stored procedures.
- Perform data analysis and develop coding solutions using SQL stored procedures SSIS for loading databases, data migration, and application interfaces.
- Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions. Convert EXL business requirements to logical data mapping.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or a related Information Technology field plus 3 years of professional data analytics experience.
Employer will also accept a Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or a related Information Technology field plus 1 year of professional data analytics experience.
Must have 1 year work experience with the following:
(1) enterprise application design, development and support; (2) optimizing SQL data processing performance and running SQL queries to validate data;
(3) designing and developing new data quality processes;
(4) SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS);
(5) Online analytical processing (OLAP), ETL frameworks, and ETL DataLoad;
(6) Tableau and PowerBI; and
(7) Python scripting and automation.

What we offer
Salary: $117,749 per year.
Base Salary Range Disclaimer:
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the EXL base salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to: location and experience. The base salary range listed is just one component of EXL's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, as well as a Paid Time Off policy, and many region specific benefits.
