Job Description & Responsibilities
As the GHG Data Analyst, you will combine your passion for agriculture, climate change, and the environment with your analytical capabilities to support the data analysis and insight generation across Driscoll’s climate change and sustainable farming efforts. A key responsibility will be to support the development of Driscoll’s annual global greenhouse gas (GHG) footprint by leading the data collection, analysis, and reporting of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. You will help to stand up Driscoll’s burgeoning on-farm GHG and water data collection and analysis efforts. The role will interface directly with our network of research farms and business units to track, analyze, and report on environmental metrics. You will help translate these data insights into actionable plans to improve Driscoll’s environmental impact globally.
Responsibilities
- Lead the annual data collection, analysis, and reporting of Driscoll’s global GHG footprint. We measure our GHG footprint in accordance with GHG Protocol standards
- Track progress of GHG data collection, manage the project timeline, and ensure data quality
- Contribute to the on-farm GHG and water data collection and analysis efforts
- Manage, analyze, and communicate key environmental metrics from Driscoll’s research farms and business units
- Create visuals to help communicate environmental metrics and findings. Will likely use Excel, Python or R, and/or Tableau
- Link findings from analysis to actionable insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop proactive solutions to environmental challenges
- Support with ad-hoc product assignments as needed
Requirements
Qualifications
- BS in Environmental Science, Data Science, Agronomy, Agricultural Business, or related field with 2+ years’ work experience.
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Experience with greenhouse gas footprinting, the GHG Protocol, and life cycle analysis preferred
- A passion for the environment, climate change, and agriculture
- Project Management experience
- Excellent organizational and detail-oriented planning skills
- Experience developing partnerships: building relationships internally and externally
- Collaborative teamwork experience
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills: the ability to analyze, track, and report quantitative data, including proficiency in data wrangling, exploration, and effective visualization
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to organize multiple projects, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be a self-starter
- Business and/or finance experience a plus
- Excel (Intermediate)
- Python or R programming languages (Basic/intermediate)
- Spanish preferred, but not required

Salary Range estimated for the GHG Data Analyst role: $63,500.00 to $89,000.00
