Job Description & Responsibilities
The Revenue Operations Team is a cross functional team responsible for optimizing process and strategy across sales, marketing, and customer success to drive Revenue growth.
As part of PitchBook's Revenue Operations Team, the Revenue Operations Intelligence Team creates reporting and analysis to provide insights and drive business performance for our Sales, Customer Success, and Customer Support teams. As a Data Analyst, you'll be responsible for learning and applying knowledge of Sales, Customer Success, and Customer Support data, tools, and workflows to evaluate the performance of strategies and guide our stakeholders in making critical decisions. Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Understanding of the business, workflows, systems, and data universe of PitchBook’s New Business – including Sales Development Representatives, Business Development Associates, Business Development Representatives, Gong, and all relevant plug-in or business platform data
- Own all data and analysis aspects of PitchBook’s New Business
- Work with platform and system teams and stakeholders to establish all key business objectives and all related diagnostic measures of success
- Determine what system(s) fundamental data should be collected from
- Implement the required tracking and/or data hygiene requirements
- Create, ratify, and update corresponding definitions and business logic
- Work with other analytics and engineering teams to build any required infrastructure
- Create audits to assist platform and system teams and stakeholders by enforcing data hygiene standards in their area of responsibility
- Create, update, and maintain diagnostic reporting to analyze and illustrate the performance of New Business
- Proactive, strategic analysis and insight to drive New Business performance (including proposing new analytical projects and investigations)
- Confidently and accurately answer ad hoc questions or analytical requests regarding New Business (including executive leadership and Morningstar Investor questions)
- Work in partnership with Revenue Operations leaders and stakeholders, collaborating during project discovery and requirement gathering and leading data sufficiency, build out, and user acceptance testing project phases
- Work in partnership with Platform and Engineering teams to create data infrastructure required to support reporting and analysis
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in a quantitative field
- 1+ years of experience in a Data Analyst role with a focus on building reports, dashboards, and/or analyzing large data sets to deliver insights
- Intermediate level knowledge of Tableau and SQL
- Familiarity with Python, Snowflake, and Salesforce is beneficial
- Ability to write and edit complex SQL to extract and manipulate data for reporting
- Willingness to learn and use new tools as the job requires
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally, building and maintaining trust with internal stakeholders
- Ability to clearly interpret data and communicate technical information across varied audiences
- High attention to detail including precise and effective communication
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation
- Annual base salary: $60,675-$95,000
- Target annual bonus percentage: 10%
- Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.
Working Conditions:
We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 4+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
