Foot Locker is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Global Data & Analytics team. Within an agile team environment, you will be responsible for data analytics to improve customer experience, provide insights to improve customer experience, and inform business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Transform and distill high complexity/high impact business inquiries into innovative analytic solutions, aligning both data teams and business partners on approach.
- Deliver key findings to members of the business through presentations and direct engagement that result in actions and improved decision making.
- Measure, report and strategize metrics to support Operations, Retail and Omni customer experience, Merchandising, Store ops, Planning and Supply Chain growth opportunities
- Provide ad-hoc analytics analysis utilizing SQL/Power BI, and other analytical toolsets to deliver insights and make recommendations for optimizations
- Utilizing one of SQL, Power BI, and other analytical toolsets, support organizational partners by developing an expert-level understanding of our full suite of analytics. From Buying and Planning analytics to Operational analytics that support Supply Chain and varying other operations teams
- Conceptualize, build, and operationalize data products per business needs and requirement. Ability to lead/collaborate with a group of Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Engineers and BI Engineers
- Train on how to analyze statistical test results, with R, Python, or comparable mathematical programming languages, and propose appropriate optimizations to achieve revenue/profitability goals
- Research and troubleshoot problems & questions related to deployed analytic solutions
- Maintain knowledge on the latest data technology and best practices
- Maintain knowledge on the latest retail trends in industry
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
- Individual must be curious and always asking, ‘Why?’, and want to be part of a larger team, with a strong desire to see others succeed
- Individual must also be comfortable in ambiguous analytical situations and making assumption
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Economics, Operations Research or related field from an accredited university or college.
- Excellent written, verbal and communication skills along with an understanding of how to tell a complete story through data. Not just listing numbers and metrics
- Knowledge of varying analytical disciplines. Examples include: Retail and Supply Chain operations, conversion optimization concepts
- 1-2 years minimum of experience in an analytical role. Preferably in supporting Retail sales
- Advanced Excel skills and SQL knowledge; Python is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of advanced statistics, data manipulation, and research methods preferred
- Ability to perform statistical analysis of A/B/N tests
- Must be able to think both creatively and critically
- Must be highly motivated and be able to work both independently and in a team environment

What we offer
The annual base salary range is $69000 - $85000 / yr. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
