Job Description & Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly motivated Data Analyst with experience performing indepth data analysis, data extraction and manipulation related to financial transactions data. The candidate will work with a focused team, helping our clients to deliver cleansed and appropriately formatted data ready for implementation.
Job Description
You will review the current state of client's data, data management processes, and data quality. You will work directly with the client organization, with motivated and experienced practitioners who understand the latest trends in effective Compliance Risk Mitigation and Cybersecurity readiness. In that process, you will learn to articulate business requirements and provide project support.
This is a predominantly remote position, with office visits required weekly. The candidate will need to have the ability to travel up to 40%, or as needed
Responsibilities
- Writing complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data from databases.
- Strong evident experience programming in Python and collaborating with Python data libraries.
- Developing and implementing data cleansing techniques to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Experience of building large ETL Pipelines to manage data Integratron and processing tasks at scale.
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies related to financial transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements for analysis.
- Communicating findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
- Collaborating with other teams to ensure effective implementation of data-driven solutions.
Requirements
Consultant Expertise:
- Working within an engagement team at a customer site.
- Builds solution, customer, and industry domain experience by leveraging the appropriate resources (internally at Symphony Sensa and externally with the client).
- Communicates to effectively resolve problems or issues.
- Applies a broad knowledge of Symphony Sensa applications/solutions.
- Establishes credibility as a conduit for solutions expertise with customers (e.g., positive customer feedback), and is viewed as “trusted advisor” to the customer.
- Becomes a subject matter expert with Symphony Sensa solutions to present with credibility and confidence.
Qualifications
- Three plus years of experience providing services to clients on behalf of a software company.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis.
- Experience with data cleansing techniques and ensuring data quality.
- Knowledge of databases and expertise in ETL processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Start-up experience a plus.
What we offer
Role initially remote in the Boston, NYC, or Austin area. However, will likely evolve to a hybrid role in the near future.
The base salary range for this position is between $85,000-$110,000 DOE
The ranges shared are for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we frequently consider varying levels of experience for a role.
