We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Business Data Analyst who possesses the ability to drive transformative insights from raw data, conduct in-depth research, and deliver comprehensive reporting to clients. This role is specifically tailored for someone who thrives on solving complex problems and is dedicated to maximizing impact through data-driven strategies for fundraising programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Analysis and Transformation: Elevate data analysis capabilities by collecting, cleaning, and transforming data from various sources to evaluate the performance of fundraising campaigns. Implement advanced analytics techniques to derive actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- Dashboard Development: Lead the development and maintenance of interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, enabling clients to track key metrics and KPIs with ease. Utilize innovative visualization techniques to enhance data understanding and drive engagement.
- Strategic Recommendations: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and clients to translate data insights into actionable recommendations for optimizing fundraising strategies. Serve as a strategic partner, leveraging analytical expertise to drive continuous improvement and maximize impact.
- Experimentation and A/B Testing: Design and execute A/B testing experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of different fundraising approaches. Apply statistical methods to analyze experiment results and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Industry Insight and Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data analysis, direct response marketing, and fundraising strategies. Proactively research and implement innovative techniques to drive continuous improvement and stay ahead of the curve.
- Client Engagement and Presentation: Engage with clients to understand their business objectives, data needs, and reporting requirements. Present findings and recommendations in a clear, compelling manner, demonstrating the value of data-driven insights and fostering client trust and confidence.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data quality, streamline processes, and improve analytical methodologies. Lead initiatives to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation in data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working in an analytic capacity, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
- Ability to derive business strategy recommendations and answer complex business questions from diverse datasets.
- Proficiency in SQL strongly preferred.
- Experience with aggregating relevant business KPI’s into data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with non-profit direct response marketing concepts, CRM’s and techniques is a plus.
LOCATION: Remote
What we offer
Pay Range expected for the position: $75,000 - $95,000 annually.
(The position level and compensation for this role will be determined based on the market location, experience, job skills, and qualifications of the candidate)
