Job Description & Responsibilities
The Insights & Analytics team provides powerful consulting along with key reporting and insightful analyses to the Hallmark business. We focus on using data to understand performance trends and our consumers, leveraging a vast number of data sources and types. We focus on complete storytelling to form an understanding of what has happened and use trends and analysis to drive future decisions. We are looking for motivated individuals who love exploring data to uncover hidden trends and opportunities.
What This Role Entails And How You’ll Contribute
Hallmark is in the midst of a data analytics revolution, and we need a talented Data Analyst to join our Customer Development Analytics team. We are looking for someone who is energized by solving complex business problems that leverage a myriad of data and information. People who are passionate about driving analytical thought within our customer and merchant teams and throughout the Hallmark Analytics community. We’re looking for people who bring an inquisitive mind to solve complex business, analytics and statistical issues and have the necessary tools to take it to the next level. Using the expertise in Hallmark’s data sources, you will:
- GATHER data from various sources utilizing tools such as SQL, Python and R Studio
- ORGANIZE data utilizing tools such as Tableau, PowerBI and Excel
- ANALYZE the data for insights and look past the numbers to uncover what’s meaningful. Identify trends, patterns, correlations, anomalies, and opportunities for growth.
Leveraging Solid Communication And Presentation Skills, You Will
- SUMMARIZE the data and your findings utilizing tools such as Tableau and PowerPoint.
- PRESENT your analysis and insights to internal partners utilizing written and/or verbal communication skills. Adjust content according to your audience and simplify complex matters for broader understanding when needed.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
The following is required to be considered for this role:
- Bachelor’s Degree OR 4 years of professional experience
- At least 1 year of professional data analytics experience
- At least 1 year of professional experience or academic training using at least one programming language (SQL, Python, R, Scala, Octave, SAS, MATLAB)
- Experience using at least one data visualization software (Tableau and/or PowerBI)
Preferred Qualifications
Your resume/application will stand out if you have:
- Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in one of the following fields: Business, Economics, Statistics, Physics, Math, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, Social Sciences, STEM OR a quantitative field
- Strong desire to combine rich business acumen and explore various data sources to uncover hidden trends and opportunities for the organization
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with strong organizational, planning and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in presenting to both internal and external business customers
- Proven track record of simplifying large and complex problems, working with multiple data sources and techniques to uncover data-driven solutions and actionable insights that drive business results
- Experience with CPG and/or Retail data, including transactions, assortment planning, supply chain, financial data, etc.

Additional Details
- This is a progressive role that will be filled at the level based on the skills and experience of the selected candidate.
- The salary range for this job is between $60,000-$90,000. Salary will take into consideration several factors including location.
