As an Associate Data Analyst, Leveraged Loans, you will handle all aspects of data management, including the secondary market data behind Leveraged Commentary & Data's (LCD's) loan indexes, the primary market data behind LCD’s market technical, and investor market data (Business Development Companies, Collateralized Loan Obligation, etc.). Management of this data is a cornerstone to LCD’s unique content and maintaining our position in the market.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain high-quality and accurate leveraged loan and high yield bond profiles in LCD’s proprietary database based upon bank books and prospectuses gathered from the market
- Bring together information from market sources such as U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filings or Ratings Direct, and update LCD’s related databases and analysis
- Provide support to clients requiring custom research related to the leveraged finance market
- Develop an understanding LCD’s production processes for its research reports and analysis
- Support Senior Analysts and other team members for varied data collection processes and analysis
- Build your knowledge of the basics of the leveraged finance markets including loans and high yield bonds as well as the mechanics of the markets, syndication processes, and documentation
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
- 1+ years of experience in an analytical role within financial services
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with regards to the ability to accurately handle data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be an independent self-starter in a fast-paced environment
- Intellectual curiosity and dedication to learn about financial markets
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation
- Annual base salary: $72,650-$86,400
- Target annual bonus percentage: 7.5%
- Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.
Working Conditions:
We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.
