Job Description & Responsibilities
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Contract: Apprenticeship contract
- Training at OpenClassrooms: You will be both working with us and studying online data analyst training path through OpenClassrooms.
- Duration of the work-study program: Ideally 12 months.

- Location: We are a remote-first company and while you'll work from home, you must be based in the USA. Position Summary

The Data Analyst Apprenticeship is an earn-and-learn opportunity within an organization geared toward building upon the foundations of a career in data analytics. While working and learning in this competency-based 12-month apprenticeship, you will spend four days per week in on-the-job training, and one day per week completing OpenClassrooms’ online data analyst training path - all while earning an income! At the completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion of a Registered Apprenticeship Program.

APPRENTICE RESPONSABILITIES :
The Workforce Funding Data Analyst Apprenticeship is responsible for providing financial aid information and assistance to students and employers. The advisor will guide them through the funding application processes, explain available funding options, and assist with the completion of necessary forms. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of federal, state, and institutional apprenticeship and salary funding policies. Additionally, the Workforce Funding Data Analyst Apprenticeship will manage the collection and documentation of Department of Labor (DOL) documents for registered apprenticeships, oversee grant budgets, and collaborate with Workforce Development boards to liaison between employers and manage Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and other federal grants.
Technical Skills For The Apprenticeship
- Analyze and interpret technical data to identify trends, relationships, and impact on business plans; prepare and present research findings.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design software applications and implement security, compliance, and ethical measures; install and update software.
- Prepare data for analysis, evaluate data quality, and create analytical reports; apply mathematical and statistical methods to solve problems and stay updated on industry trends.
On-The-Job Training Responsibilities:
- Financial Aid Packaging: Prepare and package funding awards according to institutional policies and federal regulations.
- Advisement: Provide advisement to apprenticeship candidates and employers regarding funding options to complete apprenticeship and other training programs.
- Information Dissemination: Communicate funding policies, procedures, and deadlines to students and employers.
- Compliance and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date student and employer funding records. Manage the collection and maintenance of Department of Labor (DOL) documents for registered apprenticeships. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies.
- Grant Budget Management: Oversee the management of grant budgets, ensuring proper allocation and tracking of funds in accordance with grant requirements.
- Workforce Development Collaboration: Work closely with Workforce Development boards to liaison between employers and manage Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and other federal grants. Facilitate communication and partnerships to support workforce development initiatives.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve student and parent inquiries and concerns regarding financial aid. Provide guidance on financial aid appeals and special circumstances.
- Reporting: Build and maintain comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders to provide insights into grant funding usage. Ensure that reports accurately reflect the financial status, expenditures, and outcomes of grant-funded programs.
Requirements
ABOUT YOU :
- Available to commit to a 2000-hour competency-based apprenticeship program (approximately 12 months)
- Previous experience in financial aid, admissions, student services, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of registered apprenticeship programs, federal and state funding programs is highly desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (for non-native speakers a TOEFL score of 80 is recommended)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Tools: Experience using Salesforce, Tableau, and e-signing platforms
- Technical knowledge:
- Fundamentals of computer literacy (high-school level)
- Fundamentals of probability, statistics, and linear algebra (high-school level)
- Programming language (HTML, SQL, Python ...)
- Manipulating data (Excel, BI tool ...)

Base Gross Salary: $52,000 per year
