The practice of HR is changing, requiring all HR professionals to have keen analytical skills to be proficient in the use of data to drive business and talent strategies and decisions. The MS in Human Capital Analytics and Technology (STEM) program is one of the first master's degrees of its kind in the US and is designed to address the growing demand for highly skilled, people-centric leaders who are proficient in both qualitative and quantitative analysis and decision-making. NYU SPS students learn the methods, technologies and tools to use data to address real HR issues such as employee engagement and strategic workforce planning. Students will receive advanced training from expert faculty, obtaining leadership skills, business acumen, consulting skills, and the confidence they will need to work effectively with business leaders and communicate with a broad spectrum of stakeholders. Graduates of the program are able to apply these skills in diverse sectors directly in HR or HR-related industries like consulting, higher education and non-profits. Those interested in HR specifically are are prepared to excel in human capital analytics, talent management, and HR business partnerships.
