Job Description & Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, the Senior Data Analyst in this Global Security Operations role will lead collection, processing, cleaning, analysis, modeling, and visualization efforts to inform and drive better security outcomes and solutions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop dashboards from a variety of cybersecurity data sources that enable CISO and other key stakeholders to derive insights and make data-driven decisions
- Analyze and minimize datasets using statistical and business rules to surface key security
- Perform ad-hoc data manipulations, clean-ups, and reporting using high speed/large complex data sets
- Use automation, orchestration, and programming languages (Python/R) to reduce manual processes, improving overall efficiency while also enabling new capabilities to meet our rapidly changing needs
- Mature data pipelines and processing using data hosted in multiple sources/tools (e.g. APIs, databases, other) to relate multiple datasets and present key operational data
- Manage projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
Expected Areas of Competence
- Able to perform advanced analysis via statistical programming languages like Python/R
- Knowledge of machine learning can enhance productivity in this role
- Understands probability and statistics – able to collect, analyze, interpret and present data
- Identify patterns and trends in the data
- Avoid biases, fallacies, and logical errors into your analysis
- Produce accurate and trustworthy results
- Understands importance of effective data management and best practices including collection, organization, and storage (physical and cloud) in efficient and secure way
- Able to use charts, graphs, maps, and other visual representations of data to help present your findings in an easy-to-understand way.
- Ability to collaborate and build positive relationships across multiple team members and stakeholders
Requirements
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years related and demonstrated domain experience, OR Bachelor’s and Master’s degree with 3+ years related experience preferred. Associate’s degree with 6+ years related and demonstrated domain experience, OR High School diploma with 8+ years related and demonstrated domain experience required.
- 2+ years’ experience in Data Analytics/Data Science/Machine Learning or related field
- Experience with PowerBI or related tool
- Data Analytics/Data Science/Security certifications e.g., Data+, Security+, GCIH, ECIH, CISSP, CEH, or CHFI preferred
What we offer
Salary Range: $92,000 -118,000 / year
