Are you a data visualization expert with a passion for data, looking for an exciting career supporting brands like Hot Wheels, Barbie and Fisher Price? The Product Quality Analytics team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with a strong focus on data visualization to join our dynamic analytics team that supports global Quality, Safety and Sustainability. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our data visualization initiatives, both dashboards and presentations, transforming complex data sets into compelling and insightful visual stories that drive decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, a deep understanding of data analysis, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What Your Impact Will Be

  • Lead Data Visualization Projects Oversee the design, development, and deployment of advanced data visualizations that provide actionable insights and support strategic business decisions.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, analysts, and leadership, to understand their data needs and translate them into effective visual solutions.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation Conduct thorough data analysis to identify key trends, patterns, and insights, and present these findings in a clear and visually engaging manner.
  • Develop and Maintain Dashboards Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, ensuring they are updated regularly and meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Innovate and Experiment Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data visualization and data analytics, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve our visual storytelling capabilities.
  • Mentor and Train Provide guidance and training to junior analysts and team members on best practices in data visualization and data interpretation techniques.
  • Documentation and Standards Develop and maintain documentation for all visualization projects, including methodologies, data sources, and design standards.
  • Stakeholder Presentations Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, effectively communicating complex data insights in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Project Management Manage multiple data visualization projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis and visualization, with a proven track record of leading data visualization initiatives.
  • Technical Skills Advanced Tableau knowledge, strong analytical skills and experience with SQL, Python, or R.
  • Design Skills Strong aesthetic sense and experience in designing intuitive and effective visualizations. Familiarity with design principles and tools such as Adobe Illustrator or similar is a plus.
  • Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Problem-Solving Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Team Player Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent interpersonal, written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
What we offer at Mattel

The annual base salary range for this position is between $78,400 and $98,000.

This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
