Job Description & Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Analyst. This role will report to the Director of Data Operations and enable us to continue to scale in the healthcare industry.

What You'll Do:
- Advanced SQL and Python Skills: Employ strong SQL and mid-level Python (especially PySpark) skills for sophisticated data analysis.
- Data Lake Expertise: Utilize data lake technologies such as Databricks and Snowflake for effective data management and analysis.
- Healthcare Sector Knowledge: Apply a general understanding of healthcare-related concepts like IPA operating, HCC, HEDIS, and claims processing.
- Project Leadership: Independently lead projects, encompassing user interaction, request comprehension, workflow exploration, and task distribution.
- Collaboration with Operating Teams: Engage with multiple operating teams to understand their daily work and develop relevant tools.
- BI Tools Proficiency: Skillfully use BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
- End-to-End Project Ownership: Fully manage individual projects from start to finish, including larger projects impacting multiple business units or the entire analytics team.
- Complex Analytical Projects: Handle complex analytical projects involving multiple data sources and cross-functional teams.
- Cross-Team Work: Work extensively across multiple teams, projects, and departments.
- Data Navigation Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in navigating internal data sources and understanding best practices for data extraction.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data analysts.
- Critical Reporting Tasks: Tackle the most complex or critical reporting tasks within the company.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, computer science, or similar; Master’s degree in relevant discipline a plus
- 3+ years’ experience, with at least some portion being in healthcare analytics
- Experience in statistical analysis; machine learning techniques a plus (decision trees, regression, clustering etc.)
- Experience with report design and project management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to independently pursue and develop solutions to complex problems
- Strong communication skills
- Scrappy, eager, positive team player with no ego
- Strong comfort with working in a fast-paced environment
You're a great for this role if:
- Extensive experience in conducting analytics with claims and EMR/EHR data
- Extensive proficiency in Python, SQL, R, or SAS while analyzing large datasets
- An authentic passion for improving the lives of underserved patients and advancing value-based care
What we offer
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This position is based remotely in the U.S.
- The target total compensation range for this role is: $85,000 - $100,000. The salary range represents our national target range for this role
