Job Description & Responsibilities
As the Senior Data Analyst, you will work closely with department leads across the company to access metrics, set goals, and make decisions. By leveling up our ability to quantify and analyze complicated healthcare processes and our ability to service them, this role will be critical to Medallion’s continued success. You will report into Medallion’s EPD (Engineering, Product, and Design) organization.
Responsibilities:
Define key metrics
- Collaborate with department leads to understand team goals and metrics
- Attend department meetings to discover how analytics can empower operational work
- Partner on product or process changes to define supporting analytics
Produce analytics
- Write SQL queries and create data models
- Design and surface automated dashboards
- Create one-off reports and presentations
Lay the foundations for a data function
- Research, choose, and implement necessary data tools and related software
- Influence internal product updates and process changes needed to produce relevant raw data
- Empower others to self-serve analytics
Requirements
Skills and Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience working in Data Analytics
- Proficient in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large datasets.
- Have experience with a modern BI stack (Tableau/Looker/Etc, cloud infrastructure, ETL tools)
You are also likely to:
- Care deeply about how people consume analytics
- Do whatever it takes to get a metric just right
- Have strong communication and presentation skills
What we offer
This role reports to the Head of Analytics and base compensation for this role may land between $110,000-$140,0000. In addition to base salary, Medallion offers equity, and benefits as part of the total compensation package. Many factors are considered when determining pay including: market data, geographic location, skills, qualifications, experience, and level.
