Job Description & Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY: As a Senior Data Modeler/Senior Data Analyst at Alice + Olivia, you will play a crucial role in supporting our data warehouse expansion plans. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our data infrastructure is robust, efficient, and capable of delivering actionable insights to drive our business forward.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Modeling: Develop and maintain complex data models that support our data warehouse and reporting needs. This includes conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies and decision-making.
- ETL Development: Design and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize data warehouse performance, ensuring efficient query execution and minimal downtime.
- Data Governance: Implement and enforce data governance policies and best practices to maintain data accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, processes, and procedures.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a Data Modeler or Data Analyst, with a focus on data warehousing.
- Proficiency in data warehouse tools such as DBT Core, managing project sources with GIT/BitBucket very important.
- Exposure to full Data Warehouse stacks such as Matillion, Snowflake and Sigma (or any combination of similar tools)
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
- Experience with ETL tools and processes.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Fashion retail industry experience is a plus.
