Job Description & Responsibilities
The Senior Data Analyst role at iA, Inc. offers a unique opportunity for growth and development. The role involves processing, analyzing, interpreting, and distributing statistical data from various sources. The analyst will use data mining, statistical analysis, and modeling techniques to develop, maintain, and support analytical tools and processes. The Senior Data Analyst will also work on data integrity, data normalization, and data systems and programs. This role requires a bachelor's degree, 5-10 years of experience, knowledge of quantitative analytic techniques, experience in data analysis, technical aptitude, and familiarity with relational database tools, among other qualifications in the data analysis domain.
What you’ll do:
- Uses statistical methods to analyze data and generate valuable reports.
- Identify and recommend new ways to streamline data processing.
- Use data to create models representing trends in the customer base and the consumer population.
- Work with project engineers to outline data requirements for various analysis projects.
- Manage master data sets, including creating, updating, and deleting data.
- Provide technical expertise on data storage structures, mining, and cleansing.
- Process confidential data and information following industry standard guidelines.
- Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
- Assess complex data systems and programs supporting ad-hoc and standing management or customer requests.
- Create programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data.
- Examine data quality, applications, and functions.
- Produce output and sustain operation.
- Research new data sources and analytical tools.
- Contribute to new product development and improvement in product delivery and presentation.
- Develop awareness of and familiarity with issues and events affecting the organization, department, and customer.
- Use and support database applications and analytical tools.
- Use timely and appropriate participation of users/customers in data collection and query systems.
- Provide accurate and appropriate interpretation of data, applying knowledge to evaluate, analyze, and interpret data.
- Develop appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data products.
- Develop valuable and insightful information from a variety of data sources.
- Work with management and customers to develop and understand product specifications.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with team members and management, and communicate results effectively to management and customers.
- Deliver data products in report/presentation format or verbally to management, as well as customer specifications and timelines.
- Point out system or process problems when noticed and engage the team in problem-solving.
- Facilitate satisfactory communication and resolution of problems.
Requirements
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area and 5-10 years of experience in the field or related area.
- Requires general knowledge of quantitative and qualitative statistical techniques.
- Must have experience in conducting data analysis on large-scale databases.
- Must have data cleaning, merging, and verification experience for accuracy and consistency.
- Must be able to write technical responses from verbal and or written input.
- Must know relational database tools, including SQL.
- Must be creative and capable of creating visually appealing documentation.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience in software programming.
- Knowledge of SQL Server, Power BI, and Python
- Knowledge of extended Microsoft tools, Smartsheet, and Kantata
- Cloud data and analytics tools such as Synapse, DataBricks, Looker, or comparable environments/tools
- Healthcare and pharmacy experience
What we offer
The estimated base annual salary range for this position is $93,723.55 to $ 126,802.45, though a candidate’s base annual salary shall be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience. This position may additionally be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
