Position Overview

Alkami is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team, reporting directly to Strategic Operations in the Technology organization. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making and visibility of the metrics across the technology organization, which will drive transparency and accountability. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large data sets to extract valuable insights that contribute to drive technology group efficiencies from platform, people and processes. Your strong technical skills as well as your expertise in data analysis and reporting will be instrumental in shaping our technology strategies and optimizing our systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Collect, organize, and analyze complex datasets using various tools and techniques.
  • Transform business challenges into data-driven solutions that are directly linked to their impact on the organization.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and correlations in data to uncover actionable insights.
  • Thoroughly document all data request prerequisites and proposals, encompassing proof-of-concepts and comprehensive plans for data collection rollout.

  • Conduct thorough data validation and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability of analysis.
  • Present findings in a clear and concise manner, translating complex data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and present data-driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and design effective data visualizations that support business objectives.
  • Implement data visualization best practices to enhance data storytelling and facilitate decision-making at all levels.
  • Work closely with the Technology department to understand their data needs and provide analytical support for strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics to improve systems, processes, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to understand business requirements, priorities, and challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members to ensure alignment and successful execution of projects.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives, promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Senior Data Analyst job requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline) or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
  • Demonstrates a profound grasp of business acumen, skillfully bridging data insights with the strategic objectives of the Technology organization in the long term.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and data visualization tools such as Google Sheets/App Scripts, Looker, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies.
  • Experience working with large datasets and databases, including data extraction and transformation.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Desired Skills

  • Master's degree desired.
  • Experience with predictive modeling is a plus.
