Job Description & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Principal Data Analyst to provide analysis that will influence the direction of Prescryptive Health’s sales and financial strategies. This person will gather and analyze cross-functional and cross-organizational business information, formulate, and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations. They will pull data from a wide assortment of base datasets, including internal and external claims data, Salesforce, AppInsights, and more. They’ll create reports and implement these changes in Excel and visualization tools like Power BI.
What you will do
- Create custom views, KPIs and data models in a data warehouse or business intelligence tool to provide reports, dashboards and decision-making tools that are visually compelling and engaging for executive level consumers.
- Structure ambiguous problems and take action to solve them, demonstrating persistence to drive change.
- Synthesize complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Explore data and quickly transform and synthesize data from multiple sources and identify optimal data structures to support end-state reporting needs.
- Be curious and constructively challenge business on assumptions and goals; ask questions that effectively lead to deeper understanding; contribute to the business direction discussion.
- Surface possible opportunities to innovate, and work with leadership to implement enhancements that positively impact outcomes.
Requirements
What you will bring
- MS or BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with Agile development methodologies and ceremonies.
- 5+ years Power BI development experience and/or Tableau CRM Development experience.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- 12 Years of Data Analysis Experience.
- Strong SQL Experience, preferably including stored procedure development.
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting dashboard reporting solutions.
- Strong, continuous attention to detail on optimizing reporting products to be performant, scalable, and secure.
- Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis.
- Capability to drive an independent workstream in the context of a broader team project.
- Skilled at working within a fast-paced agile environment where you actively partner with end-users and team members of both functional and technical backgrounds.
- Able to work positively and collaboratively (often across multiple time zones), building trust-based relationships within team and with all stakeholders, resulting in excellent service to each organization supported.
- Ability to succinctly report data results and analysis to an executive audience.
- Experience leading other data analysts in a virtual environment.
- Proven capability to communicate effectively with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a concise, logical manner (verbal and in writing).
- Able to form practical and acceptable compromises when negotiating, adapting style to changing situations and audiences with tact, poise and patience.
- Comfortable with ambiguous, ever-changing situations.

Prescryptive is committed to fair pay practices. The projected annual salary for this position is $142K to $195K. When preparing an offer, we consider the candidate's resume, experience, interview feedback, internal equity, and location.
