Job Description & Responsibilities
PACCAR Embedded Engineering Organization has an immediate opening for a Vehicle Data Analyst to join our team in Kirkland, WA.
Vehicle Data Analyst works on developing statistical analysis across multiple data sources for improving performance and operation of PACCAR products. You will collaborate with an international, cross-functional PACCAR team including Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF Engineering, Field Service, Warranty, Manufacturing, PACCAR Parts, Information Technology Division and the PACCAR Technical Center to create and maintain user interfaces to facilitate user-driven analysis and reports. Your work will positively improve the customer’s operation and their support of the product.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Analysis of large data sets generated by vehicle remote diagnostics, customer warranty and PACCAR Parts.
- Research and development of predictive analysis techniques using statistical-based modeling.
- Proactively identifies and recommends data-collection and analysis improvements.
- Creates reports and presents findings to multiple levels of management.
- Develop analytic tools to assist root cause determination.
- Work with internal and external organizations on issue identification, root cause analysis, validation, product release, and field support.
- Utilize Six Sigma skills.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant field.
- Demonstrated team player with high level of initiative, follow through and flexibility.
- Experience with Tableau is highly desired.
- Experience in high-level programming to analyze data, preferably in MATLAB, Python, .NET, and/or Minitab.
- Visual Studio, Access, SQL, C# experience desirable.
- Ability to summarize technical issues and communicate effectively.
- Self-directed, excellent analysis and technical judgment required.
- Proficiency with presentation skills required.
- Detail oriented and high organizational skills.
- Candidate should be willing to make use of engineering processes and techniques and be resourceful in solving complex technical problems.
- Familiarity with class 8 vehicles and/or diesel engines desirable.
