Data Analyst, Restructuring job description

Debtwire, an ION Analytics company is the leading provider of news and analysis for the global fixed income markets. Our North American product provides sophisticated investors and advisors with deep-dive coverage of public and private companies, with an emphasis on high-yield, distressed and restructuring borrowers. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Restructuring Data Reporter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing insightful content on debt restructuring topics while also helping to maintain our company's restructuring database, ensuring accurate and timely data entry. This is key since our clients depend on this data and research to make key business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality research content, including reports, articles, and presentations related to debt restructurings.
  • Work with our team of court reporters and legal analysts to produce charts and visuals that help to display various restructuring trends.
  • Help to enter data in our restructuring database, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness.
Data Analyst, Restructuring job requirements

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • You should have 2+ years of experience either working in finance or covering financial markets.
  • A basic understanding of debt securities. Knowledge of the restructuring process will be considered a significant advantage. Ideal backgrounds might be a data analyst for a market data firm or ratings firm, reporter who covered financial markets.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Someone with numerate skills a plus
  • Ability to manage workflow under strict deadlines.
