Job Description & Responsibilities
The Fiber Operations Data Analyst is an exciting position, this position will require you to assist in the application of data driven insights to have an impact on business performance through business case development and business and industry trend analysis. As you work within one or more teams, you address conflicts between the goals and objectives of the stakeholders by understanding the nature of the problem and its underlying assumptions. You have the ability to research and effectively communicate business results and related findings to leadership by preparing presentations and identifying key takeaways.
You will:
- Deliver full pieces of an analysis that is integrated into an overarching analytical outcome (e.g., research, experimental design using analytical tools to test hypotheses and draw conclusions, storytelling and consulting to business leaders to drive action, and designing data strategies for reporting and dashboards)
- Drive analytical problem-solving and deep dives - work with large, complex data sets; solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed.
- Collaborate with a wide variety of cross-functional partners to understand business needs, formulate and complete end-to-end data analysis.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and metrics updates to your management and other stakeholders by delivering effective presentations.
- Create business cases and measure the impact of operational initiatives across our business.
- Own business domains E2E, becoming the single point of contact for all data, analysis, or solutioning questions.
- Delegate responsibilities to more junior members of the team, organizing expectations, deliverables, and timelines, alongside execution of your own work.
- Comfort with undertaking specific tasks, bugs, and maintenance work. Additionally, comfort with owning complex projects, proving mastery through accuracy, timeliness, and volume of work, with minimal guidance.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of analytical tools to draw conclusions
- Grasp new concepts and apply them to current data/analytic structures
- Analyze and build complex business models
- Understanding of contemporary business analytical tools and methodologies.
- Experience in mentoring and project management.
- SQL, GSheet Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability in using tools such as Python, advanced GSheet/Excel functions such as V-Lookup, H-Lookup, Pivot Tables, Macros.
- Highly collaborative, ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams
- Distinctive problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills with impeccable business judgment. Capable of translating analysis results into business recommendations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Experience presenting to executive leadership.
- Capable of working on multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Thrives under pressure and in high-ambiguity environments.
- Understands how a System and Tool landscape works in harmony with data and analytics, and can partner with Engineering to improve this relationship.
What we offer
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $104K - $153K + bonus + equity + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
