Job Description & Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for creating and managing data sets, developing reports, and supporting the delivery of annuity product data analytics and market intelligence to the enterprise. You will primarily support product data analytics and competitive intelligence leads. You will also act as a key resource to applicable internal/external stakeholders leveraging the product data analytics and competitive intelligence tools.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintains, develops and updates databases, files, queries and product data analytics and competitive intelligence tools for use in analyses or reports, while maintaining accuracy of data.
- Supports the development, identifying and revising reporting requirements, updates and maintenance of product data analytics and competitive intelligence data, rate file information and heat map data feeds.
- Depending on the business needs, extracts, transforms, and loads data from a variety of sources into datasets and ultimately into visualization tools, while reviewing for reasonableness and accuracy.
- Helps develop and generate reports, dashboards and analysis.
- Troubleshoots the reporting database environment and reports.
- Trains end users on new reports and dashboards and providing technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
- Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management, departmental or enterprise initiatives
- Collaborates with team members to understand, communicate, and implement best data management practices.
- Works with Product Data Analytics and Competitive Intelligence leads to develop insights, clear message points, summaries, reports, and presentations.
- Analyzes and addresses more complex data issues including ensuring data is carefully gathered and cleansed.
- Consults stakeholders, developing and delivering presentations that translate analytical insights into tangible, actionable solutions for leaders and business partners.
- Develops increasingly complex competitive marketing pieces that provide our clients with information necessary to define our product message.
- Develops more complex analytical programming and models to manage and analyze data, including build of CI client self-service CI tools and of data sets that utilize predictive analytics.
- Produce detailed comparisons of competitor product structure, rates, and features.
- Provide data for a variety of increasingly complex requests, including strategic planning documents and quarterly reports.
- Shares technical knowledge with team members to identify and develop data driven insight into customers, competitors and/or regulations.
- Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
- Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
- Experience in methodologies and processes for managing large scale databases and design of data visualization.
- Demonstrates ability to identify and recommend processes improvements.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.
- Apply concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
- Works with mathematical concepts such as averages, variances and benefit calculations.
- Ability to interpret and apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, while evaluating trends
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
- 3 - 5+ Years of experience in data management
- Annuity product management, competitive intelligence, and/or annuity marketing or annuity sales experience a plus

Pay Range: $65,700 - $118,300
