Cloud Imperium aims to pave new ground in game development by sharing the process with the players. Where game development was once hidden, Cloud Imperium has opted to share the process with those backing Star Citizen. Supporters come to know the team and follow them every step of the way as the game created. The community is closely engaged and their feedback Is considered in all aspects of game development, avoiding standard publicity to put Roberts’ epic vision directly in players’ hands.

Job Description & Responsibilities
What does a Data Analyst, Growth at CIG do?
You will balance multiple analytic efforts, using innovative problem-solving methods to deliver key insights that drive new user growth, increased player retention, and increased ARPPU that ultimately leads to higher LTV.
The Data Analyst, Growth will support a diverse set of Growth projects and initiatives, including but not limited to:
- You will be deep diving into Google Ads, Google Analytics, internal systems and sources, deriving insights and implementing actionable optimization strategies for performance marketing and growth initiatives.
- Collect, harmonize & review data, build statistical models, interpret results, and formulate key insights.
- Collaborate as part of a team to drive analysis and insights that lead to more informed decisions and improved business performance across KPI’s on new player acquisition, retention, ROAS, LTV, ARPPU, DAU, ARPDAU etc.
- Monitor, optimize, and report performance on campaigns across active ad networks on an ongoing basis.
- Be the company analytics expert in current and future growth strategies and modeling for Growth.
Requirements
What do we expect from our Data Analyst, Growth?
The successful candidate is an accomplished analytical expert who can work both collaboratively and independently to drive projects. You are personable, collaborative, analytical, responsible, detail-oriented, self-motivated and excited to build from the ground up.
- 4+ years of experience with marketing mix modeling, digital & direct response media analysis, LTV models, advertising effectiveness analysis or other related statistical modeling experience.
- Providing insights into player journey, buyer behavior, intent, and trends.
- Proficient working knowledge of Python. SQL, Microsoft Suite, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience with data visualization tools. Tableau experience is a plus.
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working independently on analytical task to build a story.
- Must be able to detect and work around broken data and investigate every possibility in order to draw a detailed solution.
- The ability to occasionally travel domestically and internationally.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A high degree of accountability.
- Experience with e-commerce analytics is a plus.
- Experience working in gaming and/or GaaS is a plus.
- Video game enthusiasm with a solid understanding of the connection of gameplay to spending behavior is a plus.
This role is based in Los Angeles and your direct team will reside in LA, but cross-functional work will be highly dispersed in LA, Texas, the UK, Germany, and Montreal. This is an inherently collaborative role and will require you to interface regularly with our sales, brand and product teams, website and platform, community, and direct marketing depts.
What we offer
This position’s expected annual salary range (not inclusive of other benefits) for candidates located in or relocating to Los Angeles is $90,000.00 – $130,000.00 annually.
The actual base pay offered to a successful candidate may vary depending on individualized factors including job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. Additionally, CIG offers a generous benefit package to eligible employees including health benefits, paid time off, and both short- and long-term incentives (all subject to the terms of the individual programs).
