Job Description & Responsibilities
The Data Analyst will support the Company’s Electrical Systems
The Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the execution of the Company’s implementation plans related to modernization of the data associated with the Company’s electrical system. Individual will support multi-disciplinary teams responsible for all phases of implementation including technology review and selection; experience in the design, development, and testing of Power BI reports and dashboards. In this position you will be focused on data visualization, dashboards, reports, KPI scorecards, maps, and DAX and SQL queries Grid Modernization data integrations. Individual will also support efforts to research and develop plans for additional modernization opportunities including investigation and assessment of new tools and technologies relevant to the modernization of the electric distribution system.
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Essential Functions:
- Work collaboratively across the organization to collect and analyze the requirements for the reports and dashboards.
- Design, create prototypes, develop, deploy, and support Power BI dashboards and reports that meet business and technical requirements.
- Publish and schedule Power BI reports and data sources.
- Create the design methodology and project documentation.
- Review, analyze and consolidate data from multiple disparate sources including writing SQL queries.
- Respond to feedback from users regarding dashboards and reports.
- Reverse-engineer and troubleshoot existing reports and dashboards implementations.
- Provide support for the data maintenance and data quality effort.
- Support internal and external tracking and reporting requirements, including reporting of metrics related to the achievement of project benefits.
- Will be required to support Emergency Restoration efforts throughout the Eversource service territory.
Requirements
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Extensive knowledge of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI; thorough understanding of programming languages (SQL), database (SQL Server, Oracle, Access); demonstrated competency and proficiency in oral and written communications.
Education:
Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related quantitative field (MS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred)
Experience:
Minimum of three years with BI developer writing and debugging SQL queries; experience in Power BI administration and/or SharePoint; application development, business analytics, automation, database administration, and ETL experience. within the electrical utility industry.
Working Conditions:
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is
