Job Description & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Data Analyst to ensure we have visibility into the data and insights needed to meet key business objectives and make data-informed decisions across our various coaching services and products. This role will primarily support product, operations, content, and marketing teams focused on our digital coaching platform, the Exos app. In addition to cross-functional stakeholders, you will work closely with an integrated data team of data engineers, data analysts, data scientists, and machine learning engineers.
In this role, you will pull and analyze data, build and optimize data models, work with stakeholders to understand their needs, and design Looker dashboards that make data readily accessible and easy to understand. You will garner significant experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that requires a bias for action and an enthusiasm for helping people get healthier, perform at their best, and achieve more in work, sport, and life.
This is a hybrid role, based in either the greater NYC or Phoenix, AZ areas, and reporting to the Analytics Manager.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with cross-functional team members to plan and execute high-visibility reporting needs while ensuring excellence in data quality and performance.
- Design and implement effective database schemas.
- Clean and transform raw data to make it suitable for reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with the data team and stakeholders to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Looker dashboards for both external and internal reporting needs.
- Use Looker to create compelling visuals that convey the data story clearly and effectively.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to make data easily accessible and understandable to them.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making processes.
- Participate in stand-ups, code reviews, and QA.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of professional experience as a data analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or other quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Finance, Statistics, Math, Science, Computer Science, etc.)
- Expertise in SQL.
- Experience using BI visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau (We use Looker).
- Experience contributing to client-facing projects, troubleshooting technical issues, and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience working with data warehouses.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to explain data in terms anyone can understand.
- Reflective, independent, and eager learner (e.g., learns from mistakes, asks good questions, can generate creative solutions to problems with minimal guidance).
- Attention to detail that ensures the data we provide is accurate
- A passion for coaching, fitness, or wellness is a plus!
What we offer
Residents of California, Colorado, New York, and Washington: Per pay transparency requirements, the base compensation for this position ranges from $70,000-$82,000 annually. Pay is dependent on factors including location, specialty, certifications and work experience, as well as other business needs. Exos offers a comprehensive benefits package for all full time employees (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements), which includes health insurance, life and disability benefits, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
