Data Analyst, Construction job description

At Prologis, The Development management team delivers about $6 billion worth of projects annually and is constantly looking for opportunities to innovate and improve portfolio performance. Reporting into the Global Planning, Performance, and Innovation team (PPI), this role will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting data and generating reports related to our development operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and vendor performance optimization.

What’s Needed To Do That

  • Accurate Data Analysis: Be able to configure data surveys, obtain, aggregate and analyze data accurately, and effectively to provide insightful conclusions.
  • Data Scrubbing and Preparation: Be able to scrub, process, and prepare Company data for analysis, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and relevance to query objectives.
  • Data Visualization: Be able to present data in a clear and understandable way to stakeholders, so decisions are easily made based on the findings.
  • Perform price/cost analysis techniques in support of proposals and trend reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Be able to communicate complex data findings and insights to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous learning.

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Construction management, or a related field or Master’s degree prefered
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in cost analysis, data analysis, or estimating within the construction industry
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel and SmartSheet) and tools that improve data analytics.
  • Proven record of problem solving and approaching creative solutions
  • Travel 20% of the time to various project locations.
What we offer at Prologis

Hiring Salary Range of $87,000-$116,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target and long-term incentive plan) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, and skills, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

All full-time roles in the US come with a robust benefits package which includes healthcare, dental, and vision insurance for employees and eligible dependents. Prologis also offers several other wellness, financial, and work/lifestyle-specific benefits. Our 401(k) retirement plan has a company match of 50% up to 12% of eligible compensation.
