Job Description & Responsibilities
This is a remote role - Must Be Located In California or Arizona
CropSights is a new digital platform being launched by Wilbur-Ellis to help growers and agronomists improve decision-making and unlock more value by delivering powerful insights. It complements Wilbur-Ellis’ value-added advisory services by offering simple, easy-to-access insights across input tracking, field activities, regulatory compliance, and more.
In this position, you will support growers in person in navigating digital tools, conduct the discovery of grower data structure, design and implement approaches to extract data from sources, and perform other data analyst responsibilities. A successful applicant will have excellent customer service instincts, technical proficiency in Excel, and an eagerness to drive the adoption of digital platforms in the agriculture space. The position is located in the State of Washington.
Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
- Work with growers and teammates to discover existing grower data resources and formats
- Aggregate grower data from various sources into consistent formats
- Work with data engineers to identify opportunities to optimize growers’ data management processes with an eye to automating data entry over time
- Facilitate training and workshops to onboard growers to a digital platform
- Follow up and resolve customer requests and issue
- Maintain active relationships with teammates and customers to ensure overall satisfaction
- Miscellaneous data analysis responsibilities for the Cascades office
Requirements
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and/or equivalent training certificates, in computer science, data/business analytics, information management, or related fields
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems and take action to solve them
- Excellent skills in Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical knowledge of programming languages like SQL, R, or Python is a plus but not required
- Work experience as a data analyst or in the agriculture field is a plus
- Ability to travel; approximately 15%

What we offer
The base compensation for this position ranges from $68,800 to $85,900. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
