Data Analyst job description

Our People Data team is comprised of people with backgrounds in analytics, data management, data governance, and data insights. We implement solid data management practices to deliver reliable and trusted data.

The People Data Analyst is responsible for developing and managing data-driven research projects. This includes collecting and analyzing data, creating visualizations, and communicating findings to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Qualtrics, SQL, and BI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of employee survey data to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being.
  • Develop and execute data-driven research projects.
  • Create interactive and informative data visualizations and dashboards to communicate key findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with HR, leadership, and other teams to understand their data needs and provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that research findings are incorporated into decision-making processes.
  • Create data driven reports and dashboards for insights and decision making.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and reporting systems to ensure accurate delivery of survey results.
  • Support the design and administration of employee surveys, ensuring they are well-structured and provide actionable data.
  • Assist in the development of employee engagement strategies and initiatives based on survey findings.
Data Analyst job requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in data management and data quality assurance, with a focus on HR and People data.
  • Proficiency in data integration, transformation, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills and familiarity with statistical software (e.g., R, Python).
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and HR processes.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with data analysis in the context of employee survey data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented, with a passion for accuracy and data integrity.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • You have amazing project management skills.

To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.

Role

In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $163,300 - $217,700

Zone B: $147,000 - $196,000

Zone C: $135,600 - $180,700

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
