We are looking for a Data Analyst who understands energy systems and is adept at using sophisticated software tools to gain a comprehensive understanding of complex data. In this role, you will serve as a key member of Antora’s analytics team in deriving insights from diverse data sets, enhancing our understanding of energy market dynamics, trends in industrial decarbonization, and battery operation strategies.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Utilize our Python-based optimization software to support strategic corporate decisions regarding battery operations.
• Translate complex data into clear and compelling visualizations, facilitating effective knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect data and insights, ensuring alignment with current market conditions and strategic objectives.
• Support Antora’s Project Development team by conducting analyses and building tools which identify, screen, prioritize, and evaluate the economics/impact of project opportunities
• Prepare and present reports and presentations for customers, investors, and Antora senior management, delivering actionable insights that influence key decisions.
• Manage engagements with energy markets consultants to support project financing transactions
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of our internal Geographic Information Systems (GIS) platform to analyze the geographical dimensions of industrial energy dynamics.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on energy markets.
• 2-3 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within the energy sector.
• Proficient in multi-disciplinary analysis with the ability to adapt to various domains and toolsets.
• Skilled in Python programming fundamentals, particularly for data analysis and model development.
• Familiar with interacting with Snowflake or other SQL-based data warehouses or data lakes
• Experience with ArcGIS or similar geographic information system platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to create professional and visually appealing PowerPoint presentations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Deep intellectual curiosity and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and excel in an unstructured environment
• Passion for solving climate change

Additional Qualifications Desired

• Experience with CPLEX or similar software for linear optimization
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or Keras.
• Proficient in Excel for basic financial and data analysis.
• Experience forecasting time-series data utilizing statistical or ML frameworks
• Exposure to a formal software development environment as a developer
• Proficiency with BI visualization tools such as Tableau, Hex, Mode, etc.
