Job Description & Responsibilities
As an Associate Data Analyst at IAS, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy by working across multiple data platforms. Your responsibilities will extend beyond traditional data analytics; you will own the Looker infrastructure, ensuring its optimal performance and alignment with business needs. Additionally, you will manage the Semantic layer, infusing it with robust business logic utilizing dbt (data build tool).
Your day-to-day activities will include extracting, gathering, manipulating, and interpreting data to translate it into actionable insights. You will analyze trends and patterns to determine the most efficient and effective ways to drive business growth and operational excellence. This role places you at the heart of both sales and business operations, where your insights will have a direct impact on the future trajectory of IAS.
What you’ll get to do:
- Contribute to and maintain the BI layer of the IAS Enteprise Data organization
- Add to existing data model to incorporate new data sources and transformations
- Create and build out reporting in our BI landscape (Currently Looker/Power BI)
- Build new data models in dbt
- Perform ad hoc analysis for stakeholders across the org
- Collaborate with Business Operations, Sales, Executive team, and other stakeholders to use data to help solve problems and inform business decisions
Requirements
You should apply if you have most of this experience:
- Experience working with a BI tool (Looker preferred)
- Utilizing dbt for data modeling
- SQL skills including writing complex queries and using SQL as an investigative tool
- Python (Pandas/Numpy)
- Ability to synthesize technical information about large datasets to communicate both qualitatively and quantitatively
- Strong communication skills and capacity to translate data into a meaningful story
- Ability to collaborate with senior team members to complete tasks
- Eagerness to learn
What we offer
New York Applicants: The salary range for this position is $59,500 - $102,000. Actual pay may vary based on experience or geographic location.
