Job Description & Responsibilities
The Avesis business intelligence and analytics team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Level 2 Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data sets, contributing to data-driven decision-making processes. This position offers the opportunity to build skills in SQL-based data analysis and work collaboratively with a diverse team. Our ideal candidate will embody our core values of respect, quality and generate ad hoc and recurring reports for our internal and external clients by taking requirements and turning them into high quality reports. We are evolving our data offerings and are interested in sharing our journey with a new associate who is open to change and eager to learn.
Essential Job Functions
- Data Extraction and Transformation: Execute SQL queries to extract and transform data from various sources for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Data Cleansing and Validation: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data through thorough cleansing, validation, and error-checking processes.
- Documentation: Ensure work is properly documented for audit and continuity.
- Data Visualization: Collaborate with team members to create visually appealing and insightful data visualizations using tools like Power BI.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and contribute to the improvement of data quality and reporting processes.

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, or related discipline).
- Basic proficiency (1+ year) in SQL with the ability to write queries for data extraction and manipulation required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey data findings.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and data analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Powerpoint.
- Ability to communicate with a diverse employee population in different time zones around the country.
- Willing to multi-task and work on reports at different stages in development cycle
- Ability to work in a fast paced and evolving environment.
FLSA Status: Salary/Exempt

Salary Range: $55,790 - $87,230
