Data Analyst job description

This is a great opportunity to join a fast growing industry, the role is remote and based out of the Palo Alto HQ.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have up to 5 years of experience and possess a strong analytical mindset with expertise in data retrieval using SQL, data visualization, and presentation skills. The Data Analyst will be responsible for creating and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), presenting data to executives, and identifying cross-functional insights that drive revenue growth and business behavior change. This position is a remote role, working with a distributed team based in APAC and EMEA.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain KPIs and performance metrics that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Retrieve, analyze, and manipulate data from various sources to extract insights and generate reports.
  • Create and present data-driven reports, dashboards, and presentations to executives and stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize revenue, customer experience, and improve business performance.
  • Create analysis around our sales pipeline, ARR expansion and churn, and sales team target setting & delivery against target
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and present findings to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Create and build upon business and process metrics like time to hire, financial statement metrics, time from first contact to contract signed.
  • Support investor, Board of Directors, executive, and external customer reporting
  • Support billing efforts and other data driven revenue and cost agreements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence tools to continuously improve data analysis and reporting processes.
  • From time-to-time, assist the FP&A, sales & marketing functions with detailed modeling and forecasting activities
Data Analyst job requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business.
  • Up to 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel for data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python, MongoDB, and ability to leverage REST APIs for data gathering preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to create compelling reports and dashboards.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities for revenue growth and business improvement through data analysis.
