Job Description & Responsibilities
Under general direction of the designated Manager, responsible for developing and maintaining logical data models in order to match client requirements.
Work Experience:
- Understanding of and ability to analyze clinical, pharmacy and financial data and translate findings into business insights
- Ability to structure complex and ambiguous business problems into data analysis tasks and to identify optimal approach toward the solution
- Experience in developing analytic datasets through data aggregation from various sources
- Demonstrable ownership of the design, development, and maintenance of metrics, KPIs, reports, and dashboards
- Ability to identify risks or issues and to clearly communicate them to internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with large datasets, data analysis and visualization tools, and data mining procedures for solving complex business problems
- Proficiency with data analysis languages (e.g., Python, SQL, R, SAS), cloud computing environments (Azure Databricks preferred), and with data visualization tools (Power BI preferred)
- Independent performer with a strong desire to learn new subject areas, technology and analytical methods
Requirements
What your background should look like
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in data science, computer science, pharmacy, life sciences, physics, mathematics or similar quantitative field
- Normally requires a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years directly related and progressively responsible experience; experience in application programming is an asset
- Experience with pharmacy claims and deep understanding of the pharmacy marketplace
- Aptitude for pursuing efficiencies in data science practice (e.g., building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures and data sets, and recommendations around algorithmic efficiency)
- Familiarity with machine learning, data architecture and database technologies
- Demonstrable exposure to agile delivery
- Good hands-on knowledge of data modeling tools
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., boards, CI/CD, orchestration, job scheduling)
- Working knowledge of MVS, JCL, IDD, SQL
- Knowledge of data analysis and E-R Diagramming techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
- Good analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply applications knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
- Good interpersonal skills; effective team player

Salary Range
$84,400 - 120,890
This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
