Job Description & Responsibilities
We’re looking for an experienced Data Analyst I to join our growing GTM Strategy & Operations team. Our team tackles problems that require insight, creativity, and execution to build scalable processes, tools, and systems for our rapidly growing global business. You will help the team identify, enrich, prioritize and organize our core sales data. This includes our CRM data, as well as a variety of other internal and external data sources. Doing this successfully requires leveraging data and technical solutions (e.g., SQL, Python) to determine which accounts our Sales Organization should be prioritizing.
At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.
What You'll Do:
- Analyze internal and external data to gain a deep understanding of our ICP and help identify accounts that meet this criteria
- Develop business rules and implement logic to improve the accuracy and completeness of data associated with accounts
- Assess the Total Addressable Market (TAM) within regions, segments, and individual accounts based on numerous data points
- Prioritize all known workable accounts based on likelihood to buy, potential deal size, and a variety of other factors
- Identify scalable methods to disqualify accounts which do not meet our ICP
- Support the design and development of data models used for reporting and analytics
- Collaborate with our Sales Organization to organize data in a usable format
- Create production-quality ETL scripts (via SQL) to merge and transform data into reportable data sets
- Work flexibly on a range of projects beyond the list above as we seek to capitalize on fast-changing business opportunities in a very dynamic market
Requirements
You Are:
- Bachelor's Degree in technical or business domain
- You are fluent in writing analytical SQL, are able to write complex queries with no assistance, and understand the difference between SQL that works and performant SQL
- You have experience supporting sales teams and / or working with Salesforce CRM
- Ability to conduct in-depth data analysis using advanced Excel functions and formulas to extract meaningful insights from large data sets
- You are a clear and concise communicator able to explain complex datasets or queries to non-technical stakeholders in understandable ways
- You have experience working with large data sets and have either used or are interested in learning dbt and Python
- Natural curiosity and investigative mindset - driven to know “why”
Bonus Points:
