Senior Data Analyst, Revenue job description

You will be part of the Analytics team at Fivetran, where we leverage the most innovative data stack and define industry best-practices for analytics. What is unique about being an analyst at Fivetran is that you get to work as a “full-stack” analyst, covering responsibilities from data engineering, data science and modeling, dashboarding, ad-hoc analysis, stakeholder engagement, and more.

This is a full-time position based out of our Oakland office.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and improve upon complex mathematical models that explain and predict Fivetran’s revenue over time.
  • Create high-impact, in-depth analyses that inform decision making for executive and C-level leaders; collaborate with executives to define business rules and new metrics.
  • Own the development and maintenance of re-usable data models and dashboards that run on top of Fivetran's standardized schemas. We use a modern data stack of Fivetran, dbt, BigQuery, Looker, and Sigma.
  • Build data infrastructure that is scalable, optimized, and automated, in order to deliver real-time analytics to stakeholders across Fivetran.
  • Assist in training new hires, colleagues, and partners and embody what it means to have a data-driven culture.
  • Become a leading voice in the data analytics community.

Skills We're Looking For

  • Passion for data and analytics
  • Advanced/expert level SQL experience
  • 3+ years analyzing data and building complex models
  • Demonstrated experience using data and analytical abilities to help solve problems and make decisions
  • Demonstrated experience using a variety of tools including SQL, Looker, Tableau, etc. to analyze and model raw data sets
  • Resourceful, self-motivated and able to successfully complete multiple, competing projects under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong prioritization & organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Bonus Skills

  • Experience using dbt
  • Python experience
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, applied mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, or a related field; or equivalent analytical acumen/analytics experience
  • Experience working at a high-growth, SaaS or B2B product company

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Our job titles may span more than one career level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, business need, market demands. This range represents base salary only and does not include incentive for sales roles, equity, or benefits, if applicable.

Pay Range

$147,200—$184,000 USD
