Senior Data Analyst, Marketing job description

We’re Looking For A: Senior Data Analyst, Brand Marketing reporting to the IT department and brand managers, to lead efforts in managing and analyzing marketing-related data, including a strong ability to leverage emerging technologies, AI, and machine learning for centralized data intelligence. You will be instrumental in translating complex datasets into actionable insights to optimize marketing strategies, focusing on key metrics such as AOV, LTV, Churn Rates, CAC, CTR, and other engagement metrics.

Location: Woodland Hills, CA (Hybrid)

What You’ll Be Doing:

Analysis:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and develop tailored data solutions.
  • Using experienced knowledge of marketing retention KPIs, synthesize data across multiple sources to develop insights and to tell a story with data.
  • Develop actionable optimization recommendations.
  • Use advanced segmentation methodologies to group customers by cohort, lifetime value, products purchased, etc. Build/implement models to predict lifetime value and score customers on dimensions such as likelihood to buy.

Communication:

  • Surface observations relating to customer trends and campaign/test performance.
  • Assist in developing ways of answering unique questions and hypotheses to identify marketing opportunities.

Technical:

  • Establish and refine data models within the database to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Using familiarity with tools such as BigQuery, Fivetran, and other data orchestration platforms, maintain the accuracy of data through data quality controls and discrepancy auditing.
  • Create and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
  • Leverage Python for advanced data transformations, automations, and integrations.
  • Contribute to solutions for real-time data retrieval from various sources, including API integrations and new platform solutions selection.
Senior Data Analyst, Marketing job requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, or another research-related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, demonstrating expertise in AI-driven analytics and marketing insights.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.) with a focus on integrating AI capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of marketing concepts, particularly AOV, LTV, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs, coupled with expertise in leveraging AI for marketing intelligence.
  • Experience with CRM systems, web analytics tools, and marketing automation platforms, showcasing AI-based optimizations for marketing metrics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially in conveying insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Git and code management practices.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
