Senior Data Analyst, Investment Management job description

Duties

  • Support the Head of Operations, Reporting and Analytics in the sourcing, development and monitoring of data and analytics used in the investment process.
  • Support the CIO, Investment Strategy, Risk, and Portfolio Management to convert vast amounts of securities and market data into actionable insights, improved business decisions, and transparent views of the investment portfolio.
  • Perform complex analysis to deliver actionable insights in support of analytics initiatives.
  • Identify, research, and resolve data anomalies to ensure data quality.
  • Generate clear and meaningful profiles and segmentations of Resolution’s securities portfolio.
  • Understand business needs to ensure that analytics and reporting are meaningful and aligned to investment objectives.
  • Evaluate and document processes and initiatives to measure performance and make appropriate recommendations based on results.
  • Proactively build relationships with key internal teams and subject matter experts.
  • Coach others in data analysis best practices.
Senior Data Analyst, Investment Management job requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or closely related field.
  • Five years of progressive experience in financial services and/or analytics, including experience with data sourcing and validation, database design and maintenance, and extensive front end report development.
  • Advanced knowledge of Power BI, Excel Power Query, VBA, Python, SQL, AWS S3, and ETL.
  • 15% travel required.
  • Reporting to West Chester, PA. Telecommuting permitted from EST/CST time zone.
