Senior Data Analyst job description

May be responsible for one or more of the following:

  • Project engagement with business leaders in on-boarding new platforms, client data, process improvements and change needed
  • Collaborate on new projects as needed to provide knowledge of Data Governance and compliance
  • Assist in developing and creating a Global Data Governance board for suppliers
  • Evaluate the data assets collected with the data governance standards, policies and processes, and loads, maintains or retires those assets as required
  • Analyze cross-functional data and provide insight to improvements to ensure business guidelines, standards and compliance requirement are met
  • Ensure connectivity of O365 to Workday, Yardi and MRI programs for automation of data asset entry
  • Perform data entry of data assets key information from various mediums particularly O365, Power BI, email, and excel
  • Use a combination of visual analytics and automated tools to pro-actively analyze various data
  • Understand basic accounting functions; stay educated on changing W9 and W8 forms and provide advice to Finance AP team for continuous improvement of data assets
  • Access and log into third party sites for specific validation of key attributes about data assets
  • Conduct and complete ad hoc projects involving data maintenance and reporting
  • Create and maintain desktop procedures for systems used for training and future Global usage
  • Provide monthly and quarterly data results of assets being maintained
Senior Data Analyst job requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree: Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems or Business Management or equivalent experience directly working within key business processes in multiple business unites/functions so an so an understanding of the end-to-end data life cycle requirements of key business processes is present
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively assist with adherence to deadlines, complex data requests, attention to detail, strong problem solving and decision-making in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of Workday, Yardi and MRI
  • Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to work with all levels of leadership
  • Ability to be visible and maintain respect from all levels of the organization

Physical Requirements

  • Involves work of a general office nature; typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for at least 8 hours a day
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and utilize a keyboard
  • Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you
  • Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displays
  • Ability to observe details at close range
