Data Analyst, Investor Relations job description

DoubleVerify is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join the Finance department in support of Investor Relations (IR).

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Investor Relations, the analyst will use DV’s business intelligence tools to create dashboards and reports that uncover the drivers of revenue performance at multiple levels including by business line, media environment, product, geography and customer.

Armed with a deep understanding of the drivers of the business, the analyst will assist with content creation for quarterly earnings calls and annual Investor Days. In addition, the analyst will participate in meetings with investors and Wall Street analysts, update the investor CRM system, issue press releases and assist with other IR-related administrative tasks.

With excellent attention to detail, a passion for numbers and critical analytical thinking skills, she/he will be thrive within a fast-paced finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with DV’s BI team to design and create revenue dashboards specifically for IR
  • Collaborate across internal teams to gather operational and financial data to execute ad-hoc data analysis requests
  • Assist in developing key messages, outlines and initial drafts for investor relations materials, which will include financial spreadsheets, presentations, press releases, scripts, Q&A, analyst report summaries and other materials
  • Collaborate with Accounting to tie-out all publicly-disclosed investor relations materials
  • Continually update the investor relations CRM system with investor meetings and contact information
  • Create first drafts of press releases and issue final releases on Business newswire
  • Help with Investor Day organization and related administration

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be fluent in data analysis, with proven research excellence, and will possess strong project management and organization, as well as creativity and problem-solving skills

Required Skills Include

  • Three years of experience using BI tools such as Tableau (an advantage), Looker, Power BI etc.
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases
  • Two years of experience in a data analytics or research role
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, report building skills
  • Strong business partnering skills with a proven history of working with multiple stakeholders in an organization

Candidates with experience with financial reporting and income statement forecasting and analysis, familiarity with public-company reporting requirements and quarterly earnings cadence, and an understanding of finance and accounting concepts (working knowledge of U.S. GAAP expected; CPA not required), would be preferred.

The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $63,000 - $101,000. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits.
