Data Analyst job description

As a Data Analyst at Propelus, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights that drive informed decision-making. You will work closely with various teams to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities that help optimize our operations, improve customer experiences, and support strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities | Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

Data Collection and Preparation

  • Gather and validate data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Clean, transform, and organize data for analysis, identifying and addressing data quality issues.

Data Analysis and Visualization

  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, correlations, and trends.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Hashboard) to communicate findings effectively.

Data Modeling and Predictive Analysis

  • Build and maintain predictive models to forecast future trends, customer behavior, or business performance.
  • Apply statistical techniques to extract valuable insights from data.

Data Insights and Reporting

  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven solutions to business challenges.

Data Governance and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure data integrity and consistency by establishing data governance practices.
  • Implement data quality control processes and maintain data documentation.

Continuous Learning and Improvement

  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, tools, and emerging technologies in data analytics.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance data analysis capabilities.
Data Analyst job requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar discipline). A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary.
